Sellers, Do Your Front Door Check!

As a Realtor I always tell my clients who are selling to do a daily front door check. When agents bring their clients to your home the first thing they have to do is get the key out of the lock box. Often, it takes them a few minutes of fumbling with the code or the electronic key fob to get the key and get the door open. What do you think their client is doing while they mess around with the lock box? Their client is looking around and evaluating the front door area.

Get out there and shake off the doormat. Shine up the light fixture. Remove any and all cobwebs or dead bugs. Clean the fingerprints off of the glass on your sidelights. Weed, weed, weed, weed the garden in the front. Nothing says “I don’t take care of my house” like a front garden full of…
